About Afrobiza Music Festival Sandton
Afrobiza brings its Johannesburg edition to Sandton on 12 December 2026, a one day afro house festival built on the idea of transporting the Ibiza sound and setting to Gauteng without leaving the city. The organisers run editions across South Africa, with the Hartbeespoort date in November and this one closing the year.
The festival’s own channel carries full sets from previous editions, including Thakzin, Black Motion, Stallion and Mobi Dixon, which gives a clear picture of where the booking sits: afro house and afrotech from the artists who built the genre in South Africa rather than visiting internationals.
Tickets are sold through Howler. Sandton is the business district north of central Johannesburg, served directly by the Gautrain from both OR Tambo International and Pretoria, which makes it one of the easiest parts of the city to reach and to stay in. Mid December in Johannesburg is high summer with afternoon thunderstorms and long evenings. For an afro house music festival in South Africa, Afrobiza books the genre at its source.
