About Village Studios

Village Studios is a basement club and creative space at 1022 to 1024 Davie Street in Vancouver's Davie Village, below Celebrities Nightclub, and is owned and operated by the promoter This Is Blueprint. The building dates from 1908 and was designed by architect Thomas Hooper; it housed the Lester Dancing Academy, the Embassy Ballroom and the 1960s rock club the Retinal Circus before becoming Celebrities in 1982. The downstairs room opened in 2016 as Celebrities Underground for underground events and relaunched in 2021 as Village Studios, adding a recording studio and work space. The room runs a Funktion-One system with a mappable LED ceiling. Its club programme covers techno, tech house and house with touring DJs such as Matt Sassari, Jazzy and Tiga in autumn 2026, and nights are 19+.
