About Toldi Klub
Toldi Klub is a club, cafe and cinema at Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út 36-38 in Budapest's 5th district, set inside a cinema that is close to 100 years old. By day the venue runs as a cafe, community space and a cinema that shows films in their original language. At 23:00 on club nights the lights go down and the room turns into a techno and house club. The programme focuses on progressive techno, groove-led house, experimental club music and live sets, with local collectives such as ROOTZ, TechLab.BP and TechTúra alongside international guests. Toldi calls itself an audiophile club: the sound system is a custom Kannon Audio rig made in Romania and designed and installed by Japanese sound engineer Kazuhiro Yamada, and DJs play on a rotary mixer.
