About Dürer Kert

Dürer Kert is a concert venue and garden at Öböl utca 1 in Újbuda, on the Buda bank of the Danube in Budapest. It opened in June 2008 on Ajtósi Dürer sor in Zugló, grew into one of the city's largest underground venues, and later had to leave that building, which was later demolished. In 2021 it restarted in the former techno and house club Rio II near the Kelenföld power station. The site holds 1,600 people: a Main Hall for 950 with a panorama window over the Danube, a Small Hall for 250 and a 3,125 square metre garden with an open-air stage, bars, a DJ booth and a food truck court. The programme is mainly concerts, from metal and punk to hip-hop and jazz, with club nights such as Beat Safari for drum and bass.

After 23:00 only guests aged 18 and over are admitted, unless under-18s are with their parents. Under-16s need a parent or authorised adult and 16 to 18 year olds a parental declaration; bags larger than 30 x 20 x 10 cm go to the cloakroom.
