From intimate clubs to rain-soaked bridge raves, Charlotte de Witte recently wrapped up a whirlwind New York City (NYC) tour unlike anything fans had seen before. The Belgian techno powerhouse played six different shows across just four days, hitting venues of all sizes throughout the city.

Her NYC schedule was packed with performances at cozy spots like Public Records and Superior Ingredients, alongside larger venues including Knockdown’s The Ruins, 99 Scott, and Avant Gardner’s Great Hall. Perhaps most surprising was her impromptu street rave on the Williamsburg Bridge, announced just one hour before it began, where fans danced in the rain.

The scale of these intimate NYC shows stood in stark contrast to her massive festival appearances. Just before arriving in New York, she performed for around 50,000 fans at EDC Las Vegas. Right after leaving the city, she headed straight to Detroit’s Movement Festival, where she headlined for a crowd of 30,000.

On May 29th, 2025, she released her hard-hitting second single “No Division” featuring XSALT. This track got plenty of playtime during her NYC shows, where she tested it on crowds in settings both small and large. Lucky fans at these shows were able to snag early vinyl copies, which include both the Original Mix and an Instrumental Mix as B-sides.

While de Witte has sampled XSALT before on tracks like “Overdrive“, “High Street“, “Roar“, and “How You Move“, this marked the first time he’s provided exclusive vocals for one of her productions.

When asked about choosing New York for these shows, de Witte explained;

Launching this single while I’m in New York feels symbolic. There’s something about the city, its chaos, its diversity, its constant movement, that perfectly mirrors the spirit of ‘No Division’. It’s a place where differences collide and coexist.

Both “The Realm” and “No Division” will appear on Charlotte’s self-titled debut album, set for release on November 7th through her own KNTXT label. About the new single, she said;

‘No Division’ is another chapter of my upcoming album, and like the others, it reflects a part of who I am. ‘No Division’ is both a call and a celebration. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when we lose ourselves in the music and come together on the same frequency. It reminds us that we are one.

The track itself packs a serious punch with overwhelming techno power that demands attention. It features spacey hoover sounds, a hooky main theme, classic organ sounds, and robotic spoken vocals with lines like “cut the wire / break the system / fight the fire / no division“. It’s more than just a dance track – it carries a message.

Witte shared;

‘No Division’ comes from a place of unity and the understanding that when we come together through music, the barriers between us start to dissolve. It’s about erasing the invisible lines that separate us, whether cultural, emotional, or personal.

Discussing “The Realm” and her upcoming debut album, she added;

“‘The Realm’ is a really special track for me. It marks the beginning of a whole new chapter. It’s the first single from my debut album, and it carries the energy and philosophy that inspired the entire record. The lyrics capture the essence of what I believe music can do. Techno, and by extension clubbing, has always been about more than just dancing for me. It’s about connection, transcendence and exploration. It’s a way of accessing something unseen, something powerful. There’s a tension and release in the structure that mirrors the feeling of letting go, of stepping into something bigger than yourself.

Looking back on her career so far, she reflected;

After 15 years of DJing, traveling, and living life through music, releasing my debut album feels surreal. This album is the most personal project I’ve ever worked on. It’s not just a collection of tracks; it’s a reflection of who I am, where I come from, and what continues to drive me, the dancefloor. Across eleven tracks, this album tells the story of my journey in music so far. Every sound, every transition, is intentional. I followed what felt right, what moved me. And that honesty is what makes this album so special to me. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s emotional. It’s who I am.
