The Island Festival (Obonjan, Croatia) 2027

The Island Festival takes over Obonjan, a private island off the Croatian coast near Sibenik, from 31 August to 5 September 2027. The 2027 edition marks ten years of the festival, which has run since 2017, and it works on a single model: the ticket and a bed on the island are sold together, from 379 euros plus a 30 euro fee for six days and five nights.

The island itself is the format. Music runs across the East Harbour, the forest, the pool and an amphitheatre through the day, with boat parties taking groups out onto the Adriatic and the nights carrying on across the same areas. Mornings bring yoga and meditation, and the island runs a full breakfast buffet alongside street food and separate vegan, vegetarian and meat kitchens through the day. The sea and the pool do the rest.

Accommodation runs from bell tents on wooden decks, the only option bookable as a single bed, through to Smart rooms in the East Camp sleeping up to four, with balconies or terraces and sea views on some units. An exclusive presale at 299 euros sold out, with an extended presale following at 379 euros. The 2027 line up had not been announced at the time of writing. For an island takeover rather than a field, it is a distinctive Croatian music festival.
