About Kalypso

Kalypso is an open-air club on Zrće Beach near Novalja, on the Croatian island of Pag, set among pine trees by the Adriatic. The club says it was the first venue on the beach: it started in 1987 as a small beach bar and grew into a club for more than 3,000 people, with a large open-air dancefloor, bars, lounges and a pool. Its summer is built around visiting festivals, and in 2026 the calendar ran from Jada Fest in late April through Spring Break Island, Hideout, Verknipt Croatia, AGZ and Sika Ents to the Balkan Wave closing party at the end of August. Afternoon after-beach parties by the pool mix house, electronic and popular music. Before the 2026 season the club was rebuilt with a new pool area, new sound, lasers and LED installations and a larger VIP area.
