Ronquieres Festival (Ronquieres, Belgium) 2027

Ronquieres Festival returns on 6, 7 and 8 August 2027, running three days in the village of Ronquieres in the Belgian province of Hainaut. The festival takes its name and its setting from the inclined plane that lifts barges 68 metres between two sections of the Brussels Charleroi canal, a piece of 1960s engineering that dominates the skyline above the site and is lit up across the festival nights.

The programming is broad: Belgian and French rock and pop alongside hip hop and a substantial electronic stage, which has made it one of the better attended summer festivals in Wallonia. Official aftermovies going back to 2014 give a good read on the scale, and the organisers publish artist announcements in waves through the spring rather than in a single reveal.

The site runs a cashless payment system, with any balance left on a wristband refundable through the website after the festival. Tickets are sold through Paylogic with a mailing list giving early access to new phases. Ronquieres sits between Brussels and Mons, around 40 minutes from the capital by road, with shuttle buses from Braine-le-Comte station during the festival. The 2027 bill had not been announced at the time of writing. It is a Walloon music festival with a genuinely unusual backdrop.
