About Moon Mountain Valentrance
Moon Mountain holds its Valentrance edition at Kanchanaburi from 14 to 16 February 2027, marking 25 years of the Thai psytrance party. The event runs from 3pm on the Saturday through to 3pm on the Monday, with entry restricted to over 18s.
Twenty five years makes Moon Mountain the oldest continuously running psytrance event in Thailand, and the Valentrance name goes back to at least 2012, with recordings from the 2012, 2015 and 2016 editions still online. BMSS Records, the German psytrance label, published a feature on the 2027 edition under the heading The Thai Underground.
Tickets are sold through Ticketmelon. Kanchanaburi sits around two and a half hours west of Bangkok on the River Kwai, in limestone karst country with waterfalls and national parks around it, which is a different landscape from the Thai coast entirely. Mid February is the end of the cool season, warm and dry. For a Thai psytrance music festival, Moon Mountain is the original.
