About Lief Festival
Lief Festival returns to Strijkviertel in Utrecht on Saturday 4 September 2027, running from midday to 11pm on the western edge of the city. The festival is produced by X-sense, the Utrecht promoter behind several Dutch outdoor events, and has been running since at least 2014, with official aftermovies from that year onwards on its channel.
Lief means sweet or kind in Dutch, and the organisers have built the event’s identity around that: a daytime festival with a crowd that treats it as a social occasion rather than an endurance test. The programming sits across house and techno, with the stages given distinct characters and sets published afterwards from artists including VNTM.
The presale for 2027 sold out, with the regular sale opening in 2027. Entry is 18 and over, tickets are non refundable and lockers cannot be resold. Strijkviertel sits beside the A12 west of Utrecht, with Utrecht Centraal around 15 minutes away by bus and Amsterdam half an hour by train. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing. For a single Saturday in the Dutch early autumn, it is a well established music festival.
