About Kosmika
Kosmika runs in the Koue Bokkeveld from 30 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, billed by the organisers as a new year expedition. The Koue Bokkeveld is a high plateau above Ceres in the Western Cape, cold enough in winter to grow apples and pears and open enough in summer that the sky is the main feature of the site.
The festival publishes its venue, accommodation and line up separately, treating each as part of the offer rather than a footnote to the ticket. The booking draws on the Cape Town underground, with Fudog, Fluffy, White Nite, Thorrixon, Esa Williams, Terrence Pearce, Gary Reuben Morris, Zahr and Vinyl Digz among the artists listed, and Pupil Visuals handling the visual programme.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. Ceres is around two hours north east of Cape Town over the Michell’s Pass, with the Koue Bokkeveld a further climb beyond it, and accommodation in Ceres for anyone not staying on site. Late December on the plateau means hot days, genuinely cold nights and almost no light pollution. For a Western Cape New Year music festival, Kosmika takes the highest road.
