About Forest Shankara
Forest Shankara returns to Florianopolis on 5 and 6 December 2026 for an edition titled Sacred Pulse, two days of psytrance on the Ilha da Magia in the south of Brazil. The festival runs alongside a Feira Mix craft and food market, and the organisers publish full set films from the stages after each edition.
Brain Damage, Sektorlogic and After June have all played recent editions, with recordings published in full, and the 2026 bill has been released in phases through the autumn. The programming sits in forest and dark psytrance rather than the progressive end, which is the sound that has defined the southern Brazilian scene.
Tickets are sold through Uticket. Florianopolis is an island city with 42 beaches, served directly from across Brazil and from Buenos Aires and Santiago, and early December is the start of the Brazilian summer with the island at its best before the January crowds arrive. The festival site sits in forest on the island rather than on the coast. For a Brazilian psytrance music festival, the setting does a lot of the work.
