Field Project Festival (Western Cape, South Africa) 2026

Field Project runs in the Western Cape from 11am on 30 December 2026 to 10am on 2 January 2027, a New Year gathering the organisers describe as a field study of music and landscape. The site is a nature reserve, with the exact location given to ticket holders.

The programming is entirely South African: a curated line up of local electronic artists drawn from the many scenes and influences that define dance music in the country. The organisers are explicit about what the festival is not interested in, describing it as less concerned with spectacle than with atmosphere and less about consumption than participation.

The setting is treated as part of the programme rather than its backdrop.
