Epizode was an electronic music and arts festival staged on Phu Quoc, an island off the south-west coast of Vietnam. The event ran across the New Year period, opening after Christmas and continuing past 1 January, with sets held day and night at Sunset Sanato Beach Club on the island’s western shore. Organised by the promoter Sagrado Corp, it grew from its 2016 launch into one of South East Asia’s largest beach festivals, spreading multiple stages, art installations and daytime activities along the sand. Programming centred on house and techno delivered by international and regional DJs over a run that stretched to eleven days.
Across its editions the festival booked established names in underground dance music, among them Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Nina Kraviz, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Peggy Gou, Dubfire and Nicole Moudaber. The fourth edition ran from 28 December 2019 to 8 January 2020, and its aftermovie remains the most recent upload on the festival’s official YouTube channel. Plans for the following winter were postponed during the pandemic, and for the 2021 New Year a separate event, Sunlit, took over the same beach. Reports later described a return for the 2023 to 2024 New Year, though this was not confirmed through the festival’s own channels.
As of 2026 the official website at epizode.asia does not load, returning a server error rather than any current programme, and no dates, lineup or tickets have been announced for a 2026 or 2027 edition. Anyone planning a trip should treat the festival as dormant and check the official Instagram and Facebook accounts before booking travel. Phu Quoc is reached by direct flights to Phu Quoc International Airport or by ferry from Rach Gia and Ha Tien on the mainland, with Sunset Sanato Beach Club a short drive from the main town.
