About TIDES Festival
Tides runs on Phu Quoc from 31 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, a New Year festival on the Vietnamese island in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc has become Vietnam’s main beach destination over the past decade, with a new international airport and resort development along the western coast.
A New Year electronic festival there is a relatively new proposition: Vietnam’s dance scene has historically been concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and taking it to an island over the holidays follows the model Thailand established on Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
The line up, venue and ticket details are published through the festival’s own channels ahead of the date. Phu Quoc International is served directly from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Seoul, Bangkok and several Chinese cities, with visa free entry to the island for most nationalities. Late December on Phu Quoc is dry season, around 29 degrees with little rain, which is the best time of year to be there. For a Vietnamese New Year music festival, Tides is opening new ground.
