Aquasella (Arriondas, Spain) 2027

Aquasella returns to Arriondas from 12 to 15 August 2027, running four days beside the Sella river in the Asturian mountains of northern Spain. It is the longest established electronic festival in the north of the country: the 2024 edition was the 27th and the 2025 edition the 28th, which puts the first Aquasella in the late 1990s and makes it older than most of the Spanish festival circuit.

The programming is weighted towards techno, with the festival consistently booking artists from the harder and more industrial end rather than following the commercial Spanish market. DJ Rush played the 2025 edition and Vendex brought an audiovisual show to the same bill, which gives a clear sense of the direction. Official aftermovies going back several editions sit on the festival’s own channel.

Camping runs alongside the site in the valley and is the standard way to attend, with Arriondas itself a small town better known for canoe descents of the Sella than for festivals. Oviedo is around 50 kilometres west and Asturias Airport roughly 80, with bus connections through Arriondas. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing. For techno in northern Spain, Aquasella is the music festival that defined the scene.
