About Spybar

Spybar is a basement nightclub at 646 North Franklin Street in River North, Chicago, near the corner of Franklin and Erie. The club calls itself the small room with the big sound: it covers about 4,500 square feet with minimal decor and few tables, so the crowd stays close to the DJ. It has run for more than 25 years as one of Chicago's main underground house and techno rooms, mixing touring DJs and producers with resident and regional DJs, and festival and label brands regularly host nights there. The autumn 2026 programme on Dice includes Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson, Jazzy, Effy, Joss Dean and Hans Glader, plus the Inphinity & Beyond night hosted by longtime resident Inphinity. The club does not publish set times, since headliners usually close the room. Events are 21+ and coat check is mandatory.

Door policy

From the club's own rules

21+ events. The door asks for creative club or party wear rather than sloppy clothes: no flip flops or open-toed footwear and no work boots, and LED accessories may be held at the door. Coat check is mandatory (USD 5).
