About clubasia

clubasia is a club and live venue at 1-8 Maruyamacho in Shibuya, a short walk up Dogenzaka from Shibuya Station, among the cluster of live houses around Shibuya O-EAST and O-WEST. It opened in March 1996, is run by Culture of Asia Co., Ltd., and marks its 30th anniversary in 2026. The club works to a policy of embracing all music and hosts DJ nights, live shows and dance events. Inside there is a main floor with a stage, a lounge floor with its own bar and a terrace area. Night events mix hard techno, house, dubstep and hip hop, with recent bookings such as the dubstep party Back to Chill and Detroit techno pioneer Juan Atkins on 4 September 2026. In 2020 a crowdfunding campaign backed by 6,744 people helped the club through the pandemic closures.
