About

Sónar Festival 2026 is poised to return to Barcelona from June 18–20, 2026, once again transforming the city into a global epicenter of electronic innovation and creativity. Celebrated worldwide as a merging point of experimental beats, cutting-edge visuals, and technological artistry, Sónar unites the worlds of Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night, and its immersive creative-technology forum Sónar+D, crafting an unparalleled experience that transcends typical music festivals.

This upcoming edition builds on the groundbreaking momentum of Sónar 2025, which featured over 200 activities and performances across 10 stages, showcasing artists from 36 countries and spotlighting the intersection of music, digital art, and emerging technology.

While the 2026 lineup is still under wraps, Sónar’s 2025 edition featured a diverse and visionary array of talent, including Plastikman (Richie Hawtin), Nathy Peluso, Eric Prydz, BICEP, ARCA, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Honey Dijon, Pa Salieu, and many more renowned and avant-garde performers. The festival also delivered landmark collaborations—such as Alva Noto & Fennesz’s “Continuum”, Actress & Suzanne Ciani’s “Concrète Waves”, and a stirring multidisciplinary dance piece by Rone with (LA)HORDE and Ballet National de Marseille.

Sónar’s venues span from daytime showcases at Fira Montjuïc to nocturnal broadcasts at Fira Gran Via, with Sónar Week—including OFFSónar citywide activations—adding layers of creative outreach and exploration throughout Barcelona.

In addition to its artistic scope, Sónar continues to lead at the cultural-technology crossroads via Sónar+D, which champions innovation in areas like AI, creativity, and the future of the creative industries through projects, talks, and tech-powered installations.

From immersive audiovisual performances to thought-provoking digital art, Sónar 2026 promises to immerse attendees in a pulsating, multi-sensory journey through sound and technology—continuing its legacy as a boundary-defying celebration of the electronic age.
