About Serendisco Music Festival
Serendisco returns to Colombo on Saturday 19 December 2026 from 4pm, the Sri Lankan festival that has built itself around disco, house and the warmer end of electronic music rather than the main stage sound. The name folds Serendib, the old name for the island, into disco.
The festival publishes full set recordings from its stages, with Clifford Issac’s 2025 set among those online, and previous editions have been staged at Cinnamon Life in the capital. The programming is pitched at an audience that wants to dance rather than watch, which is reflected in the long afternoon into evening running time.
Tickets run in phases through Rush. General admission at phase one is 5,500 rupees, down from a 8,000 rupee standard rate, with VIP individual at 13,500 from 16,000 and a buy four get one free general admission bundle. Colombo is served directly from across Asia, the Middle East and Europe through Bandaranaike International, 40 minutes from the city. Mid December is the start of the dry season on the west coast. For a Sri Lankan music festival, Serendisco has the clearest sound.
