About Restricted Forest
Restricted Forest marks ten years in the woods on Saturday 26 June 2027, with an edition titled The Ascension at Orrell Hill Woods on the edge of Liverpool. The festival programmes old skool, trance, house and club classics for a crowd that has grown up with those records, and keeps the whole thing inside a single day.
The site is split into four realms named Mind, Body, Spirit and Heart, each with its own build and its own guardian, which is how the organisers frame the stage structure. Production is heavy on scenery rather than scale, with the woodland itself doing most of the work, and the layout stays walkable from one end to the other.
Tickets are sold through the festival website, where VIP upgrades and travel information sit alongside the standard allocation, and the first phase of the 2027 line-up was announced on 1 November 2026. Orrell Hill Woods lies north of Liverpool near Sefton, around 20 minutes from the city centre by road, which makes this music festival an easy day out for anyone staying in Liverpool.
