About Proper NYE
Proper runs across New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in San Diego, from 3pm to 12.30am on 31 December 2026 and from 2pm to 10pm on 1 January 2027. FNGRS CRSSD present it, the team behind the CRSSD Festival series, and the two day format is what sets it apart from a single night event.
CRSSD have built the strongest house and techno programming on the American west coast, and Proper gets the same treatment: Skrillex back to back with Four Tet played the 2025 edition, with the full set published afterwards, which is the kind of booking that defines the series. AYYBO played the 2024 event.
Entry is 21 and over and tickets are sold through Leap Events. San Diego in late December is around 18 degrees in the day, the mildest December weather of any major American city, which makes two consecutive outdoor days workable. San Diego International is ten minutes from downtown and Los Angeles two hours north. For an American New Year house and techno music festival, Proper is the best programmed.
