About FOMO Fest

FOMO Fest runs at Open Park in Punta del Este on 15 and 16 January 2027, with doors from 4pm on the Friday. Punta del Este is Uruguay’s resort town on the Atlantic, the place Argentina and Brazil go for January, which makes the middle of the month the busiest point of its year.

Open Park is the main outdoor event site in Punta del Este, and a festival there in mid January catches a population that has swelled from a winter village of 10,000 to several hundred thousand. The programming is pitched at that holiday audience rather than a specialist one.

Tickets are sold through Ticketplus Uruguay. Punta del Este has its own airport at Laguna del Sauce with flights from Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, and Montevideo is two hours west by road. January in Uruguay is high summer, warm and humid with long evenings. Accommodation in Punta is at its annual peak over this period, with La Barra and Jose Ignacio as quieter alternatives nearby. For a Uruguayan summer music festival, this is the January date.
