Colours of Ostrava (Ostrava, Czechia) 2027

Colours of Ostrava returns for its 24th edition from 21 to 24 July 2027, held as always inside the Dolni Vitkovice ironworks complex in Ostrava. The site is a national cultural monument: blast furnaces, gas holders and industrial gantries that were still producing steel until 1998 and now hold stages, galleries and bars. The festival has run since 2002 and moved to the ironworks in 2012, which is where its visual identity comes from.

Programming is deliberately multi genre, running international headliners alongside Czech acts, world music, theatre, workshops and a lecture strand under the Meltingpot banner. That mix makes it one of the largest and broadest festivals in central Europe, drawing audiences from Poland and Slovakia as well as across Czechia. The 2027 line up had not been announced at the time of writing, with tickets opening from 70 euros.

The site sits on Vitkovicka street, around 20 minutes from Ostrava main station by tram, and Ostrava Leos Janacek airport is 25 kilometres to the south west. Camping is run close to the complex and the organisers publish accessibility and arrival detail on the official site.
