7 Realms (Tulum, Mexico) 2027

7 Realms runs across Tulum from 1 to 13 January 2027, seven daytime events in seven locations over almost two weeks. Each realm has its own music, setting and world, and the organisers frame the whole thing as a single journey through the town rather than a series of separate parties.

Tulum has become one of the most heavily programmed destinations in electronic music over the past decade, with the January weeks after New Year the busiest of its season. A structured route through seven venues is a direct response to that: rather than competing with the crowd of individual events, 7 Realms organises them.

The festival runs a points system and a leaderboard, with free registration earning points towards rewards, and publishes a passport for tracking progress across the realms. Tickets are sold through its own site. Tulum is around 90 minutes from Cancun International by road, with the new Tulum airport also serving the town directly. Early January on the Caribbean coast is dry and around 28 degrees. For a Mexican music festival with an unusual structure, this is the most ambitious.
