The Gathering Yelapa (Yelapa (Puerto Vallarta), Mexico) 2026

The Gathering returns to Yelapa from 20 to 22 November 2026 for its fifth year, running from 10pm on the Friday through to Monday morning. Yelapa is a fishing village on the southern shore of the Bahia de Banderas with no road access at all, reachable only by boat, which is the single fact that defines the festival.

Water taxis run daily from Puerto Vallarta and from Boca de Tomatlan, and the organisers treat the crossing as the start of the event rather than the logistics of it. The village sits between jungle and the Pacific with no through traffic and no noise, and the programming sits in house and minimal, built for a small crowd rather than a main stage.

Year five is billed as the most curated edition yet, with transformative experiences, workshops, accommodation packages, private boat rides and a temazcal added alongside the music. The line up had not been announced at the time of writing. Tickets are 2,500 pesos and entry is 18 and over, sold through Resident Advisor. Puerto Vallarta is served directly from across North America, with the boat the last leg. For a Mexican boutique music festival you have to work to reach, this is the one.
