About Space Sharm

Space Sharm is a large nightclub at the top of Naama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, on Egypt's Red Sea coast in South Sinai. It was set up as an Egyptian affiliate of Space Ibiza, which announced the project in 2010 and held three pre-opening parties there from 17 to 19 November 2010. Reports at the time gave its capacity as 9,000 to 10,000 people over about 5,200 square metres.

The club has three rooms: the Terrace, an outdoor space with a 12-metre pool and a waterfall; El Salon, an indoor lounge; and the Discoteca, with views over the Red Sea and the mountains. The sound system is by Funktion-One, and the lighting and laser show were designed by the local team Baher & Maged. Past guests include Markus Schulz, Dash Berlin, Paul van Dyk and Aly & Fila, whose Future Sound of Egypt parties were held here. Current nights include Ibiza Sessions and Urban Knights. Space Sharm was ranked in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs from 2012 to 2015, peaking at number 36 in 2014.
