South London’s nightlife is about to experience a revolutionary transformation as Brixton Storeys, a cutting-edge music venue with a coveted 24-hour license, prepares to open its doors on April 18, 2025. Taking over the former Prince of Wales site, this multi-dimensional event space promises to breathe fresh energy into Brixton’s already vibrant cultural landscape while honoring the area’s rich musical heritage.

The indoor-outdoor venue boasts an impressive 750-person capacity spread across three distinctive spaces, each designed to create unique atmospheric experiences. At its heart, the Red Room serves as the main indoor clubbing area, crafted in collaboration with Bigabox Productions to deliver truly immersive sensations. This primary dance space features state-of-the-art Turbo Sound and Funktion-One systems – a sonic pairing that’s become the gold standard for serious electronic music venues. For those seeking a more intimate environment, The Boudoir offers a contrasting energy, perfect for meaningful connections away from the main floor’s intensity. Perhaps most exciting is the SKY Terraces – set to launch in June – featuring a completely redesigned rooftop with dual outdoor spaces, dedicated sound systems, and a purpose-built DJ booth. In classic London fashion, it’s equipped with a retractable roof to shield revelers from the city’s unpredictable elements.

We wanted to bring a fresh narrative to Brixton nightlife but stay connected to the area’s heritage,” explains owner Stevie Thomas. “This iconic venue is perfect for that and has been fully renovated with a new perspective that brings it right up to date.” Beyond its impressive physical attributes, Brixton Storeys is positioning itself as a cultural hub with community at its core. Thomas emphasizes that “along with transforming the main club into the Red Room, which will bring all sorts of exciting headline artists, there will also be a real focus on events with emerging artists and LGBTQIA+ communities who will be given a platform to party in their own unique way.

The venue’s journey begins with “A Tribute To Alfredo Balearic Beat” roof party as its inaugural event. Tickets will be available exclusively through Ticketmaster, with programming details and future events announced on brixtonstoreys.com. As London’s nightlife continues to evolve, Brixton Storeys stands as a testament to the capital’s enduring commitment to after-dark culture.
