This Is Four Tet Playlist on Spotify

Some electronic music sounds like a city at 4 a.m., and this is where it lives. This Is Four Tet is Spotify’s essential-tracks playlist for Four Tet, curated by the platform’s editors. It is a fine entry point for anyone curious about one of electronic music’s most restless minds.

His solo work shines on “Lush”, “Parallel Jalebi” and “LA Trance”, while “VOLVER” brings in Tainy, Skrillex and Rauw Alejandro. Burial, Fred again.., Thom Yorke and Jamie xx sit in the same orbit. The collaborations stretch far beyond the dancefloor, which gives the playlist a wonderfully wide range.

The sound is textured, warm and endlessly inventive, somewhere between club and headphones. It works for focused work sessions, late-night walks and after-hours listening. There are 50 tracks and a generous 4 hours 19 minutes to sink into. It rewards both casual background listening and a close, attentive listen from start to finish.

Headphones on. Dancefloor in your head.
