This Is Ellen Allien Playlist on Spotify

Fifty tracks of left-field, late-night techno. This Is Ellen Allien is Spotify’s essential-tracks playlist for Ellen Allien, curated by the platform’s editors. It is a rich way into the catalogue of a figure who has shaped the sound of the city for years.

Standouts include “Leave Me Alone” with Apparat, “Lights Off”, “Sehnsucht” and “Love”. Ash Code, Introversion, Rosa Anschütz and Alien Rain appear alongside. The collaborations show a taste for melody and mood alongside the harder club side.

The sound is experimental, dark and emotionally charged, a mix of electro, techno and left-field moods. It fits late-night listening, studio sessions and after-hours dancefloors. The playlist contains 50 tracks and 4 hours 18 minutes. It rewards patience, and gets better the deeper into the night it goes.

Berlin nights, stretched into something stranger.
