Und drinnen tanzt der Bar: quick facts
Updated Oct 2026About Und drinnen tanzt der Bar
Und drinnen tanzt der Baer returns to the Stadthalle Rostock on 16 and 17 October 2026, running two nights of electronic music indoors on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The name translates roughly as the bear dances inside, and it is the winter counterpart to the promoter’s outdoor event, Und draussen tanzt der Baer, which takes place at the Freilichtbuehne in Schwerin.
The programming leans towards melodic techno and harder styles, with the promoter ME-Events booking across the German circuit. Kopf and Hoerer recorded a live set at the Schwerin edition that has been watched close to 900,000 times, which gives a sense of the reach the brand has built from a regional base.
The Stadthalle Rostock is the city’s main indoor venue, a 1980s multi purpose hall near the centre with capacity for several thousand, which makes it a different proposition from the outdoor summer dates. Tickets are sold through the official site, with the Schwerin open air on 6 May 2027 announced alongside. Rostock has direct trains from Berlin in two hours and Hamburg in two and a half. It is a northern German music festival that runs on both sides of the season.
