About Strichka Festival
Strichka returns to Closer in Kyiv on 15 and 16 May 2027, the festival the club has run since the mid 2010s. Closer sits on Nyzhnoyurkivska Street in the Podil district, a converted industrial site that has been the centre of Ukrainian electronic music for over a decade.
Strichka is the club’s own festival rather than a visiting promotion, which is why the programming is an extension of what Closer does the rest of the year. The organisers publish films from the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 editions.
Tickets start at 2,500 hryvnia with the second release at 2,800, sold through Ottry. Kyiv’s civil aviation remains closed, so arrival is overland through Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania or Moldova, with rail from Warsaw, Chisinau and Budapest. Mid May in Kyiv is warm at around 21 degrees with the chestnut trees in flower. For a Ukrainian music festival, Strichka is the one that defined the scene.
