About SOLA Festival
SOLA Festival returns to the Orangerie in Kassel on 28 August 2027, running a single day of open air electronic music in front of a baroque palace in the Karlsaue park. The Orangerie was built in the early eighteenth century for the Landgraves of Hesse and the lawn in front of it has been used for courtly celebrations since; the festival takes that as its framing, turning the Karlsaue into a dancefloor for ten hours.
The 2026 edition gives a clear read on the booking: eight acts across the day, with Maceo Plex, Reinier Zonneveld, Victor Ruiz, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Kalte Liebe, Novah, Alba Franch and Cara Elizabeth. That mix of techno headliners and German live acts is the pattern the organisers have set, and early bird tickets for 2027 opened at half price before any names were published.
Doors open at midday and the event finishes at 10pm. Entry is 16 and over with no exceptions, even with a guardian. Bags are limited to A4 size and must be emptied at the search, picnic blankets are allowed but beach shelters and parasols are not, and no food or drink can be brought in. The organisers recommend the hotel partner stayawesome.de, which gives a 15 per cent discount year round with the code RaveAwesome. It is a baroque music festival in the middle of a German city.
