Paradigm Festival (Groningen, Netherlands) 2027

Paradigm Festival returns to Groningen on 14 and 15 August 2027, running two days of techno in the north of the Netherlands. The festival is the outdoor arm of Paradigm, the Groningen club and promoter that has spent more than a decade building an audience for the harder and more experimental end of techno a long way from the Randstad.

The programming has been consistent in direction across editions, favouring artists who work in long sets and industrial textures rather than the festival mainstream, and the official aftermovies on the Paradigm channel going back to 2014 show how the production has scaled while the booking has stayed the same. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing.

Tickets are sold through Eventix, usually in tiered phases released ahead of the bill. Groningen sits around two hours north of Amsterdam by direct train and has its own airport at Eelde, with the city itself small enough to walk and well supplied with accommodation given its student population. For techno in the north of the Netherlands, Paradigm is the music festival that carries the scene.
