Paléo Festival (Nyon, Switzerland) 2027

Paleo Festival Nyon runs from 19 to 25 July 2027 on the Plaine de l’Asse, the 80 hectare plain above the town of Nyon on Lake Geneva. The 2027 edition marks the festival’s 50th anniversary and will exceptionally run across seven days instead of the usual six. Paleo is the largest open air festival in Switzerland and has been staged since 1976 by an independent non profit organisation that leans on several thousand volunteers.

The programming is deliberately broad rather than genre specific, mixing international headliners with Swiss acts, world music on the Dome stage and electronic bookings across the week. The 2026 edition drew to a close as the 49th Paleo, and the organisers have run a public line up contest asking who audiences want to see for the anniversary year. The 2027 bill had not been published at the time of writing. The festival was voted Best Major Festival in Europe at the 2025 European Festival Awards.

The site is a short bus ride from Nyon station, which sits on the main line between Geneva and Lausanne, and Geneva airport is around 20 minutes away by train. Paleo operates a no cash policy across the whole site, with payment handled through its own system, and runs camping alongside the arena. Tickets are sold through the official site and usually clear quickly. For a 50th birthday, it is the Swiss music festival to watch in 2027.
