This Is Claptone Playlist on Spotify

Classy, soulful house with a touch of theatre. This Is Claptone collects the essential tracks of Claptone, curated by Spotify’s editorial team. It is the perfect introduction to a DJ who treats every set like a masquerade ball.

Vocals lead the way: “Digging Deeper” with Alison Goldfrapp, “Black & Gold” with Hannah Boleyn and “Leave Your Light On” with Young Galaxy, plus his remix of nimino’s “I Only Smoke When I Drink”. Nathan Nicholson, JAW, Sea Girls and Henry Camamile appear alongside. The guest list is wide and varied, which keeps the mood fresh from one track to the next.

It is groovy, polished and a little theatrical, good for dinner-to-dancefloor evenings, rooftop sessions and the early hours of a club night. The playlist offers 50 tracks over 3 hours 7 minutes of elegant, vocal-heavy house. Sophisticated without ever being stiff, it keeps one foot in the club and one at the cocktail bar.

Dress up. Dance slow. Stay late.
