About This Playlist
Forget the noise of the season and let the outside world disappear for a while. Christmas in Bed 2025 is Solomun’s invitation to slow everything down, bringing together 18 tracks across roughly 1 hour and 25 minutes of intimate electronics, ambient textures, delicate piano and deeply atmospheric sounds. It feels less like a traditional Christmas playlist and more like a private winter soundtrack designed for quiet mornings, late nights and moments when nowhere else matters.
The selection moves with remarkable patience. Astrid Sonne’s “Mirror Behaviour” opens at 3:05, followed by Ralph Heidel’s “Outro” at 2:07 and “Ostentatious – Piano Edit” from Montell Fish, John Glacier and DJ Gummy Bear at 3:12. Then comes Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” at 4:36, bringing one of the playlist’s most recognisable and emotionally resonant moments.
As the journey develops, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Seb Wildblood, Jasper Tygner, Jacob Korn, Echonomist, Kiberu and Louca introduce deeper colours and more spacious rhythms. Longer pieces such as “Hysteria feat. Black Soda” at 9:34, “Kult of Kumasi” at 7:33, and “Secret Holidays” at 7:02 give the collection room to breathe, while Bonobo’s “First Fires – Maya Jane Coles Remix” adds another beautifully understated chapter at 5:52.
There is no rush here. From Floating Points’ “Nespole” at 5:08 to Wevie Stonder’s “Piccolo’s Travels” at just 2:01, every track contributes another shade to Solomun’s winter landscape. The result is soft, reflective and quietly cinematic — music for staying inside, turning the lights low and allowing time to move at its own pace.
Christmas in Bed 2025 doesn’t try to make Christmas louder. It makes it slower, closer and more personal. A carefully assembled collection where electronic music meets nostalgia, solitude and warmth — proving that sometimes the most memorable holiday soundtrack is the one that simply gives you space to breathe.
Close the door. Slow the world. Let the moment stay.
