8Kays Essentials Playlist on Spotify

Some artists let you inside their head through a playlist. 8Kays Essentials comes from the 8Kays account and gathers the tracks he keeps close. It feels personal rather than polished, the kind of list an artist builds for himself first.

Along with 8Kays, the list features GHEIST, Delhia De France, Juan Hansen, RY X, Ivory (IT), Samuel Miller and Losless. Sample cuts include “Sirens” by 8Kays, Kyozo, “Tears” by Eli & Fur, “FADE AWAY” by Nau Leone, Just Her and “4ME” by JAMIIE, Ape Drums.

Expect smooth, melodic house and downtempo-leaning electronic music with a moody, late-evening feel. Put it on for a long drive, a quiet dinner or a sunset terrace. This is a big 100+ track collection, running for more than 8 hours. Nothing here is rushed, and the long runtime means you can leave it running in the background all day.

Moody melodies for the long way home.
