Dreamsea Sonica (Tamarindo, Costa Rica) 2027

Dreamsea Sonica runs at the Dreamsea Surf Camp in Tamarindo on 22 and 23 January 2027, a two day festival on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica programmed with Ibiza Sonica Radio. Tamarindo is Guanacaste’s main surf town, which gives the event a very specific audience: surfers and the Ibiza circuit in the same place.

The partnership with Ibiza Sonica is what shapes the programming. The Ibiza station has broadcast from the island since 2001 and brings its own roster and sensibility, with Animal Picnic and Neliah Kandisha among the artists recorded at previous editions and published in full.

Tickets are sold through the Dreamsea site, which also handles accommodation at the surf camp itself. Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quiros airport is around an hour from Tamarindo with direct flights from the United States and Canada, and San Jose is four hours away by road. Late January in Guanacaste is the heart of the dry season, hot and reliably sunny with good surf. For a Costa Rican music festival, this is the one with the Ibiza connection.
