The Chosen Few DJs and Friends Cruise sails from Miami from 3 to 10 January 2027, a week long house music cruise run by the Chicago collective that helped invent the genre. The Chosen Few have been operating since the late 1970s and their annual picnic and festival in Chicago drew 45,000 people to its thirty sixth edition.

That history is the point. Wayne Williams, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Alan King, Terry Hunter, Andre Hatchett and Mike Dunn make up a line up with a direct line back to the origins of house music in Chicago, and the cruise puts them on a ship for seven nights with the audience that has followed them for decades.

Cabins rather than tickets are sold, booked through the Chosen Few site. Miami is the departure port, served directly from across the Americas and Europe through Miami International, and the organisers recommend arriving the day before sailing. The Chicago picnic remains the collective’s flagship, with the cruise as the winter counterpart. For a house music festival with this lineage, there is nothing comparable.
