About Capital House Music Festival
Capital House Music Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary in Washington from 28 to 31 May 2027, four days and four parties kicking off Black Pride Weekend in the capital. Entry is free, which is unusual for a festival that has lasted a decade.
House music’s history is inseparable from Black and queer American culture, and CapHouseFest puts that connection at the centre of what it does by anchoring itself to DC Black Pride, the oldest Black Pride event in the world. The festival also runs a summer closer each September.
Details and tickets are published through the festival’s own site. Washington has three airports, with Reagan National 15 minutes from downtown on the metro, and the Northeast Regional puts New York under three hours away. Late May in DC is warm at around 27 degrees before the summer humidity. For an American house music festival, CapHouseFest is the Washington institution.
