Kappa FuturFestival Closes 10th Anniversary Edition (2023)
Kappa FuturFestival celebrates its 10th anniversary in Torino, Italy with 100,000 attendees, 105 DJs, and five stages.
This weekend, passionate techno music and house lovers united from around the world in Torino, Italy, for the iconic Kappa FuturFestival, celebrating its 10th anniversary across three consecutive days.
With 100,000 tickets sold and a complete sell-out Saturday & Sunday, Torino’s Parco Doro was truly the place to be, with over 118 different nations present to sample the best the electronic scene has to offer in its biggest production yet, with 105 different DJs & artists performing across five separate stages.
The international crowd basked in stunning 30-degree temperatures to party alongside dance music’s most influential icons including Major Lazer, Detroit master Carl Craig, Diplo B2B with Maceo Plex, supergroup Swedish House Mafia with their only Italian date this summer, the unstoppable Peggy Gou bringing down the house on Saturday night, The Martinez Brothers, plus superstar DJs like Fatboy Slim, Sasha and John Digweed and Carl Cox, who for the first time hosted his own stage with Carl Cox Invites – plus so many more, the full lineup below.
Speaking of stages, KFF marked its 10th birthday by launching two new ones – The Voyager and The Kosmo – making a total of five different stages to spoil its attendees, the latter being a new project that blends the world of art, music, and technology by artist Marinella Senatore. This came alongside a carefully curated on-site exhibition that welcomed an array of digital artists to spotlight their work, made in partnership with Blackdove, known for their commitment to bridging the gap between the art world and technology. There was also an army of renowned photographers shooting on-site and documenting the weekend, including Oliviero Toscani, Massimo Vitali, Settimio Benedussi, and many more.
We also saw the return of the VIP experience – Art & Techno – fully embracing Torino’s huge art scene. The package is made for the ultimate weekend of luxury for art and techno music lovers, with first-class VIP treatment at the festival and private guided tours of the city’s best art galleries, studios, and museums.
For those that were eager to keep the party going, a selection of sold-out after-parties at Audiodrome, Azimut Club, SLIP, and Centralino carried them through each night, with late-night sets from Krystal Klear, Carlita + DJ Tennis, Lee Ann Roberts, Detroit in Effect, Cloonee, Seth Troxler, Carl Craig, Nur Jaber, Vladimir Ivkovic, Traxx, Vintage Culture, Dennis Cruz, Danny Tenaglia and Chris Liebing. And even a surprise set from Carl Cox at Centralino on Sunday evening.
The festival continued its hugely successful Cashless Program on-site and positively drove the economic impact on the city of Torino, generating an impressive 25 million Euros over the weekend. As Kappa FuturFestival continues to reign as the biggest electronic music festival in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe, it looks forward to bringing even more people together in the beautiful setting of the post-industrial Parco Dora next Summer, with next year’s edition confirmed for July 5,6 and 7th. Early bird tickets will go on sale later this year.
