Avicii‘s legendary track “Levels” has officially reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify. Released in 2011, this iconic song has become one of the most defining anthems in electronic dance music (EDM), leaving an enduring legacy that continues to inspire fans around the globe.
In an Instagram post on September 19th, 2024, the late artist’s team reflected on the track’s significance:

“Levels” is now the sixth Avicii track to cross the billion-stream threshold, joining “Hey Brother“, which reached one billion streams in May 2024, and “Wake Me Up“, which boasts over two billion streams as of August 2023. Other Avicii hits that have earned this distinction include “The Nights“, “Waiting For Love” and “Without You“.
Avicii, born Tim Bergling, tragically passed away in 2018 at the age of 28. His profound influence on EDM is still celebrated, and earlier this year, his final Swedish performance, recorded on August 5th, 2016, was released online. This last concert took place at Tallriken in Malmö’s Pildammsparken.
Adding to the tributes, a documentary titled “I’m Tim“, produced by Academy Award winner Lawrence Bender, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024. The documentary offers an intimate glimpse into Tim Bergling‘s life and career.
Additionally, a charity auction featuring around 267 personal items belonging to the artist is set for October 1st, 2024, in Stockholm. The proceeds will benefit The Tim Bergling Foundation, established by his family to support mental health initiatives and the well-being of young people.
Take a moment to revisit “Levels” and celebrate the lasting legacy of one of EDM’s greatest talents.
