Combining Techno and PsyTrance, Rhygar Presents His EP My Universe

From a regular at psytrance raves to a respected techno DJ and producer. This is how Rhygar‘s story has unfolded in just over six years since his encounter with dance music. The artist is a new name on the Brazilian electronic scene and has been building a trajectory worthy of attention. Since despite having started his professional journey just over two years ago, he already has a well-structured and authentic sound identity, as shown by his new EP “My Universe“.
Signed by Back in Black, the release features five tracks based on techno lines but with strong influences from his psychedelic rave days. In this way, Rhygar imprints his sonic profile, presenting himself as a strong representative of the fluid combination of trance and techno music that has come to the fore in recent years, like Indira Paganotto. This mixture of genres and elements is present throughout the EP. Still, it is most striking in productions such as “Astral” and its distortions and in the title track with its characteristic psychedelic vocals.
But it doesn’t stop there; tracks like “Into Your Vibration” and “Reset Your Mind” stand out for their unexpected transitions, going from lighter sounds to faster rhythms with an efficiency and cohesion that impresses, making the complexity of this skill seem simple.
This fusion of sounds doesn’t neglect the seriousness of techno; quite the contrary, throughout the EP, the artist manages to compose a dynamic versatility, maintaining the sober and dense atmosphere of the genre, as is clear in “Ignition“, but it doesn’t fail to be present in all the tracks presented, whether in its well-orchestrated beats or the elegant ambiance.
