About LOA Festival Season Opening
LOA Festival opens its season at Esch-sur-Alzette on 21 and 22 May 2027. Luxembourg Open Air is what the initials stand for, and the organisers bill it as the biggest electronic festival in the country, bringing the programme to Luxembourg’s most recognisable locations rather than a fixed site.
Esch-sur-Alzette is the second city, in the former steel belt on the French border, and was European Capital of Culture in 2022, which gave the city a set of converted industrial venues that suit a festival of this kind. LOA publish films from the 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2025 editions.
Tickets are sold through Weeztix and Paylogic. Esch is 20 minutes from Luxembourg City by train, with Findel airport taking flights from across Europe and Luxembourg’s public transport free for everyone. Late May in the Grand Duchy is mild at around 19 degrees. For a Luxembourg music festival, LOA is the only one at this scale.
