About Darkshire Festival in the Woods
Darkshire Festival In The Woods returns to Chotevice from 17 to 20 June 2027, four days of drum and bass in the forests of north east Bohemia. Darkshire is a drum and bass project rather than a single event, and the woods festival is its summer date.
The organisers have built a reputation on finding venues nobody else uses. Past Darkshire events have been staged in a factory, a slaughterhouse, a church, expo halls and caves, which makes the forest site the most conventional thing they do and still unusual by most standards.
Tickets are sold through the Darkshire site. Chotevice is in the Trutnov district below the Giant Mountains, around two hours north east of Prague by road, with the Krkonose national park and the Polish border immediately beyond. Mid June in the Bohemian uplands is mild at around 20 degrees. Official films exist for every edition since 2021. For a Czech drum and bass music festival, Darkshire is the one.
