    About

Copenhagen Distortion Festival 2026 is set to paint the Danish capital in electric colours once again from June 3-7, 2026, turning the streets, clubs, squares, harbour and Refshaleøen into a living music festival ground. The roots of Distortion lie in celebration of street life, underground and mainstream electronic music, urban culture, and spontaneous joy among locals and visitors alike.

Distortion Ø, the weekend‐finale at Refshaleøen, will run particularly during the nights of June 5-6, starting around evening and running into the early morning. During the earlier days, neighbourhoods like Nørrebro, Vesterbro, and the harbour will host free or low‐cost street parties, DJ sets and pop-ups that spill into squares and side streets, while Distortion Club events activate nightclubs and off-beat venues.

From last year’s lineups we know some of the names likely to carry momentum into 2026: Peggy Gou delivered a standout performance, Marlon Hoffstadt (aka DJ Daddy Trance) is a big fixture, Alignment made waves, along with technophiles like Kobosil and melodic names such as Monkey Safari. Local / regional DJs and rising stars like Ki/Ki, Funk Tribu, Clara Cuvé, Adam Ten & Mita Gami, Denis Horvat, Sally C, Salome, Ata, Caleesi & Sarah Kreis also defined the mix in 2025.

Production and experience will remain central: enormous street parties during daylight, immersive club shows after dark, multi‐stage raves at Refshaleøen with industrial and waterfront backdrops, sound systems built for serious impact, visual art installations, and creative set design that transform everyday city spaces into something magical.

Tickets will likely follow the model of previous years: there’s a full festival pass covering all days including Distortion Ø and various Distortion X events in squares or pop-ups; there will be single-day or weekend tickets for the main Ø finale; plus free street party access for many daytime neighbourhood events, often supported by voluntary donations.

With 2026, expect Distortion to push further in bridging underground and mainstream, delivering moments where rave energy meets spontaneous city-wide celebration. It will be more than a festival—it will be the city dancing.

    FAQs

The festival runs from June 3–7, 2026, with street parties across Nørrebro, Vesterbro, and the harbour, club nights spread throughout the city, and the massive Distortion Ø finale held on Refshaleøen over the weekend.
While the full lineup is still to be unveiled, last year’s program featured Peggy Gou, Marlon Hoffstadt, Innellea, Kobosil, Clara Cuvé, Funk Tribu, Ki/Ki, Denis Horvat, Monkey Safari, Sally C, and many emerging Danish and European DJs, so fans can anticipate a similar blend of global headliners and underground talent.
The early days focus on free or donation-based street parties and Distortion Club events, while the final two nights shift into ticketed large-scale raves at Refshaleøen, featuring multiple stages, huge sound systems, and immersive art installations.
Festival-goers can choose from full passes that cover all days including Distortion Ø, single-day or weekend tickets for the Ø finale, and entry to specific Distortion X club and special events, while street parties remain largely free and open to everyone.
Its city-wide format turns Copenhagen itself into the stage, blending daytime street chaos with late-night raves, mixing global electronic stars with local innovators, and creating an atmosphere where underground culture and mainstream energy merge seamlessly.
