Keep it up from where we were! The May series of the techno music event calendar is ready. All the festivals organized this month that you can attend are listed below.

Chronologically, we compile the events that attract attention and expected throughout the month for fans and share the significant notifications with the public, such as line-ups, ticket fees etc. For more, please follow our website and stay tuned for the updates. AMNESIA IBIZA

(Until October, Ibiza, Spain)

The Ibiza season officially kicks off on 28 April and Pyramid Ibiza is ready to turn up the volume with a Pyramid Special pre-season party! Get ready for a night of electrifying beats from legendary headliners like Luciano b2b Arapu, and Layla Benitez on the Terrace Amelie Lens, Klangkuenstler, Luca Donzelli and Mathias Kaden in the Main Room

Amnesia Opening Party will take place on 13 May with several exclusive back-to-back performances. Adam Beyer will go b2b with Layton Giordani, Marco Faraone will then go b2b with Paul Woolford and lastly Skream will go b2b with Seth Troxler. Maceo Plex, Reinier Zonneveld and Sama’ Abdulhadi will also join the party.

Matinée returns to Amnesia on 20 May. The combination of the best house and tech house, along with Matinée Gold Classics and Matinée All Star DJs, ensures a night full of energy and emotions.


MUSIC ON FESTIVAL

(6 May – 7 May, Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Music On is a house and techno music festival held in the Dutch capital Amsterdam.

Now one of the most respected festivals within the genre, Music On curate an exciting array of electronic, house and techno stars, with the lineup including founder Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice and many more.

Alongside these electronic music staples, Music On also brings together an enviable selection of some of the scene’s hottest new talent, giving dance fans a unique insight into the sounds of tomorrow.


AWAKENINGS SPRING FESTIVAL

(13 May – 14 May, Halfweg, Netherlands)

Awakenings Spring Festival returns to their Holy Ground in Spaarnwoude, just outside of Amsterdam, on 13 & 14 May 2023, with a two-day festival, including open-air stages & the festival’s iconic tents. Awakenings Summer Festival will follow from 7 – 9 July in Hilvarenbeek, with on-site camping.

Awakenings are behind some of most legendary techno events in the Netherlands, bringing some of the best artists to the stage.

Tickets for both Festival will be available to pre-registered fans on 7 December.


NUITS SONORES

(17 May – 21 May, Lyon, France)

Nuits Sonores is an annual festival of electronic music and independent music taking place over five days in Lyon. In 2023, Nuits Sonores will be 20 years old and promises a great birthday. Since 2003 the festival has highlighted the importance of the city’s cultural landmarks as it spreads a variety of performances, events and workshops for range of audiences across its five days.

In addition to sets from a plethora of DJ talent, the festival also boasts celebrated names to help curate the lineup. The 2022 edition was co-curated by iconic artists from the electronic scene.

The beauty of Nuits Sonores is the sheer quantity of events both throughout the day and way into the night, meaning it’s possible to dip in and out of raves, whilst enjoying the tranquility of Lyon.


SEA STAR FESTIVAL

(19 May – 20 May, Umag, Croatia)

Sea Star is an international music festival that takes place at the breathtaking Stella Maris seaside resort in Croatia’s Umag. The fifth edition of Sea Star Festival is coming to the Stella Maris lagoon in 2023 aiming to surpass all its previous seasons.

Being the first big event of the summer season with a 15.000 daily capacity, Sea Star Festival brings you right back to the dream world of festivals and is organised by the crew of the world-famous EXIT festival.

The festival has several stages spread over the beautiful lagoon with Tesla Main Stage and Nautilus Arena being the biggest ones and hosting some of the hottest acts of the world and regional music scene. Several other stages bring a variety of genres with hip-hop, trap, techno, house, reggae, rock, bass and thus, creating a perfect beach festival atmosphere.


SOENDA FESTIVAL

(20 May, Uthrecht, Netherlands)

Soenda Festival is an electronic music festival held in Utrecht, in a beautiful, open landscape surrounded by water. Anchored in techno, Soenda Festival has become one of Europe’s foremost experts in the genre, annually curating a lineup of artists pushing the boundaries of music.

This festival is definitely for people who are venturing for music that is outside of the mainstream. Featuring five outdoor and tented stages, you can maintain the classic outdoor festival feel whilst exploring new sounds and DJs.


CREAMFIELDS SOUTH

(26 May – 28 May, Chelmsford, UK)

Creamfields South Festival is set to double up in 2023 with the second edition, bringing the party to Hylands Park in Chelmsford from 26 – 28 May 2023. Creamfields South is set make new waves on the global festival scene, featuring a collection of some of the biggest names from across the dance music spectrum.

Since its inception the UK edition has become one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, attracting big name artists including Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, Tiësto, deadmau5, Carl Cox, Bicep LIVE, Chase & Status, Pendulum and The Chemical Brothers. Internationally, Creamfields is one of the few festivals to have successfully established itself on the global market with shows staged in Chile, Abu Dhabi, Ibiza, Malta, Argentina, Peru, Hong Kong and multiple cities across China to name a few.


BIG BEACH SPRING BREAK

(26 May – 29 May, Novalja, Croatia)

Big Beach Spring Break is an electronic music festival held in Novalja, Croatia.

Taking over Zrce Beach’s famed hedonistic hot-spot Papaya Club for the entire weekend, the Adriatic coastline will be pumping all day and night; thousands upon thousands of party-goers flock to the raving destination each year to let loose at beach parties, pool parties, and club nights throughout the hot summer nights.

With a sun-soaked soundtrack including a roster of internationally acclaimed DJs, Big Beach Spring Break is the ideal way to kick-start your summer.


IKARUS FESTIVAL

(26 May – 29 May, Memmingerberg, Germany)

Ikarus Festival is an open-air electronic music festival at Memmingen Airport, Germany, specialising in all things techno and house.

Each year, ardent festival-goers jet-set into the spacious airport locale where an impressive lineup of techno’s biggest names await; Nina Kraviz, Chris Liebing, Richie Hawtin, Tale Of Us, and Charlotte de Witte have landed in South West Germany for previous editions.

Across six characterful stages – some out in the open plains, some in the shrouded forest, all with their own distinctive design – you’ll discover that they each embrace their own unique atmosphere, amplifying the festival’s quality programme of circus, and most importantly, music.


WIDE AWAKE FESTIVAL

(27 May, London, UK)

Wide Awake Festival is a one-day music festival which takes over London’s Brockwell Park.

Here it showcases a diverse lineup of left-field, forward-thinking sounds ranging from indie to techno, from punk to jazz, but all carefully curated to make Wide Awake Festival as unique an experience as possible. The likes of Bicep, Caribou, Floating Points, Working Men’s Club, Fat White Family, The Comet Is Coming and Overmono were among the headliners of the last edition.

Brought to you by the minds behind Field Day and London promoters Bad Vibrations and LNZRT, Wide Awake promises to offer music fans an alternative addition to London’s thriving festival calendar.


MARVELLOUS ISLAND

(27 May – 28 May, Rte de Lagny Torcy, France)

Marvellous Island is a beloved electronic music festival, held each year at the beautiful Plage de Torcy on the eastern reaches of Paris.

The festival has consistently welcomed top-tier underground house and techno favourites, with the likes of Seth Troxler, Adam Beyer, Maya Jane Coles, Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz and Stephan Bodzin among those to have performed over the past decade.

And with the idyllic location, scenic backdrop, creative staging and design, and a crowd united in their love for dance music escapism, this special celebration is sure to be another weekend to remember.


POLLERWIESEN FESTIVAL

(28 May, Dortmund, Germany)

PollerWiesen Festival is a techno festival held near Dortmund’s Revierpark lake in Germany.

Formulating their inimitable expertise from the underground raves in the 90s, PollerWiesen has successfully gathered decades of experience in curating some of Europe’s finest raves, and now sits on a techno-party pedestal because of it.

Taking their famed reputation to Dortmund’s Revierpark once more, complete with saltwater lake surroundings that encompass each of the woods, beach, hilltop, and open lawn stages, PollerWiesen invites an impressive lineup of techno’s finest DJs and producers, making the annual 12-hour party a must for techno purists.
